The largest city in Vietnam has relaxed its Covid restrictions

Vietnam is under strict lockdown since the beginning of July due to an Covid wave that was linked with Delta variant that could cause a record-breaking number of 804 deaths on one day on the 1st of September.

While the incidence has dropped however, the state is still seeing over six thousand new infections per month with less than 10% people have been vaccinated.

The economy has suffered and officials from Vietnam’s biggest commercial and city, Ho Chi Minh City has taken the decision to remove restrictions on travel in the city and allow certain hospitality facilities malls, construction projects and hotels to reopen, according to Reuters.
